Cover Pictured Left) is: selected unpublished verse from earlier poetic
works "The Voluptua" & "The
Epitome" collections (1999 - 2007) inspired by
"Anatomia Ecclesia: The Anatomical Brides". My
life’s work & pursuit adds up to this: Love &
G-d & Death. The Unicorn Man chronicles the
transformation of a man from myth to beast & back.
Fragments of a diary. A private apocalypse. Pi, dna,
& sacred geometry betrayed me. Uninterpretable
signs, dreams, & visions became me. Through ancient
medical illustrations, medieval bestiaries, &
illuminated manuscripts i found myself writing this.
Alone. For the vanity of all my searching for the origin
of beauty, the location of the soul & a theory on
everything i lost myself. This book will privy the
reader to an unbecoming. Belief is not required. My
love. Beauty in art, architecture, & anatomy have
been pursued at all cost. Every risk & precaution
has been taken to translate this epic ballad, folk tale,
& world poem from it’s original form. One word.
Metaphysical states, fantastical menageries, &
imageless symbols fill the pages of this book. Each
verse is steeped in simultaneity, continuity, &
religiosity. This is not a work of fiction. This is not
a suicide note. There is no guide. Only hope. Take care
that none unbelieving, unwise, or indiscreet hear of
these hidden matters. It is with great fear &

An epic poem, an ecstatic prayer, & a beatific psalm authored by an anonymous master. The Unicorn Man is not for children, the faint of heart, &/or faithless. It is a grotesque self portrait of physical love & spiritual longing unraveled in an apocalyptic vision. These are verses of eternal hope written by a man with an acute suicidal condition. A man with an undiagnosable tumor growing in the shape of a horn from the center of his forehead. He hides from the world. This symbolic disfigurement transforms him from human into a fantastical beast. Until the love of a girl changes him back. The Unicorn Man is a highly personal collection of hidden text.
